This position demands expertise in the design, integration, and certification of safety-critical hardware systems, particularly in airborne electronics. You will guide clients through the development and certification processes for avionics hardware, ensuring compliance with critical industry standards such as DO-254, DO-160, and other relevant regulatory requirements.

You will take a leadership role in client engagements, offering tailored solutions, technical guidance, and hands-on support to ensure the successful delivery of their airborne electronic systems.

Specific Skills

At least 15 years of experience in FPGA development or testing, with a minimum of 5 years in a consulting or leadership role.
Proficient in Verilog/VHDL language, proficient in Vivado/Quartus development tools and ModelSim simulation environment.
Proven experience with DO-254 certification and compliance, as well as other relevant standards such as DO-160G and ARP 4754A.
Successful working experience with at least one DAL A AEH product development and certification.
Ability to provide training/mentoring to junior engineers.
Experience in an engineering leadership role.
Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to understand client needs, build relationships, and offer practical solutions that address business and technical challenges.
Flexibility to adapt consulting strategies to different client environments and requirements.
Experience in developing presentations and presenting to multiple levels of an organisation.
Experience in recognising and balancing conflicting priorities.
Experience in traditional engineering analytical methods and Aerospace Industry Standards (SAE ARP 4754A/B, SAE ARP 4761/A, RTCA DO-160, RTCA DO-254).
RTCA SC-180 or EUROCAE WG-46 member (Desired).

Responsible For

Provide customers with assessments and gap analyses according to standards such as RTCA DO-254/EUROCAE ED-80.
Guide clients through the full hardware development life cycle, including AEH requirements capture, architecture definition, design, synthesis, place & route, and timing analysis.
Help optimise designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability while ensuring compliance with safety-critical standards.
Consult customers on performing FPGA RTL testbench generation, RTL/gate level simulation, and physical testing on target boards.
Consult customers on completing FPGA device integration and verification, with hands-on experience in product integration, testing, and debugging using oscilloscopes and logic analysers; resolve issues found during integration and verification.
Lead and support clients through the AEH certification process, helping to prepare and review certification documentation, including plans, design assurance documentation, and reports.
Assist customers with AEH engineering reviews, including the PPR, PDR, CDR, TRR, CR, etc.
Assist customers with AEH Stage of Involvement audits (SOI1-SOI4) from both customers and certification authorities, and provide recommendations to fix findings.

Additional Requirements

Work location : Shanghai, China.
Will travel in China according to the client's needs.

Master’s degree in Microelectronics, Computer, Electronic Information Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology, Communication Engineering, or other related majors.
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics (Desired).
