Specific Skills
  • At least 15 years’ experience completing safety plans, assessments, and audits.
  • At least 10 years of experience working within a regulatory environment (FAA/EASA/CAAC) and airworthiness.
  • At least 15 years of experience with avionics problem solving and hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Ability to provide training/mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Experience in an engineering leadership role.
  • Familiarity with the full product life cycle with a strong emphasis on manufacturability, maintainability, and reliability (Desired).
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience investigating and finding solutions to complex technical or regulatory issues.
  • Experience developing presentations and presenting to multiple levels of an organisation.
  • Experience recognising and balancing conflicting priorities.
  • Experience in traditional engineering analytical methods and Aerospace/Industry Standards (SAE ARP 4754A/B, SAE ARP 4761/A, RTCA DO-160, RTCA DO-254).
  • SAE S-18 or EUROCAE WG-63 member (Desired).
Responsible For
  • Provide customers with assessments and gap analyses according to standards such as SAE ARP4761/A.
  • Consult customers on establishing hardware/software safety requirements, considering the entire product life cycle, from design and production to distribution and use, as well as relevant codes, industry standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Support customers in completing safety assessments for development systems and provide recommendations for system design and build/operational procedures to mitigate or eliminate safety issues and hazards.
  • Guide customers on generating and maintaining safety documentation, including System Safety Program Plans (SSPP), System Safety Hazard Assessments (SSHA), Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and reports of noncompliance.
  • Assist customers in reviewing engineering designs, test plans, build procedures, operations, and maintenance for safety impacts, and prepare reports as required.

  • Will travel in China according to the client's needs.
