In this pivotal role, you will leverage your deep expertise in High-Lift (Flap/Slat) system design and airworthiness to provide high-level consulting services. You'll be instrumental in guiding clients through the critical processes of operational scenario analysis, functional decomposition, and the definition of system requirements down to the hardware/software level.

As a High-Lift Specialist, you will lead the technical analysis and resolution of complex issues, notably the design and certification of tilt monitoring and protection systems. You'll serve as the subject matter expert, shaping strategies for requirement management and applying forward design methods to ensure the safety and compliance of one of the aircraft's most critical mechanical systems. You'll work closely with clients to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions that drive innovation and excellence.

Specific Skills
  • Mastery of methods and processes for analyzing Aircraft Operational Scenarios and performing Functional Decomposition down to the device, hardware, and software levels.
  • Expert knowledge of requirements management, including defining granularity, scope, boundaries, and methods for handling Derived Requirements and requirement assumptions.
  • Deep technical expertise in Flap/Slat Tilt Monitoring and Protection technology, including analysis of aerodynamic loads, structural deformation, and monitoring thresholds.
  • Experience applying forward design methods to achieve airworthiness compliance for high-lift system protection, preferably based on modern civil aircraft case studies.
  • Strong functional understanding of AFHA and PASA concepts as applied to high-lift/actuation systems.
Responsible For
  • Lead the generation and maintenance of the complete High-Lift System functional inventory.
  • Define and manage all requirement levels (aircraft, system, equipment, H/W, S/W), ensuring scope, granularity, and management methods are robust.
  • Serve as the technical lead for all airworthiness compliance issues related to the High-Lift System, particularly for the tilt monitoring and protection system.
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to introduce and validate advanced design and analysis methodologies.

  • Work location : Shanghai, China.
  • Will travel in China according to the client's needs.

Educational Requirements
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
Experience Requirements
8+ years minimum of specialized experience in mechanical flight control systems, particularly High-Lift or Actuation Systems
