In this pivotal role, you will leverage your deep expertise in Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) to provide high-level consulting services focused on automatic flight functions. You'll be instrumental in guiding clients through the design, simulation, and integration of core control laws, including Autopilot, Auto-throttle, and Autoland.

As a GNC Engineer – Automatic Flight Control Laws, you will lead projects that define complex mode logic state machines, manage control law parameter adjustment methods, and oversee integration with the Flight Management System (FMS). You'll serve as a subject matter expert, shaping strategies for airworthiness verification using a demand-oriented approach, and working closely with clients to deliver high-quality, compliant control solutions that drive innovation and excellence.

Specific Skills

Expertise in Control Law Design: Proven ability to design, develop, and integrate control laws for core functions: Autopilot (Lateral/Longitudinal), Flight Director, Autothrottle, and Autoland.
Modeling and Simulation Mastery: Hands-on experience with control law simulation analysis methods, including Parameter Adjustment Methods and module interface definition.
Mode Logic Expertise: Deep experience in developing and analyzing Logical State Machine Modeling schemes for complex lateral and longitudinal automatic flight modes.
Strong knowledge of FMS architecture for advanced civil aircraft and experience in designing collaboration functions (e.g., route planning, performance calculation).
Proficiency with control system design and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).

Responsible For

Lead the definition of Automatic Flight System performance indicators and the overall Control Law Architecture.
Develop and implement the integrated design of the Automatic Throttle System, managing its interfaces with the throttle console and engine control.
Design and execute a demand-oriented airworthiness verification approach for complex automatic flight functions.
Research, introduce, and validate advanced control law algorithms and mode logic to enhance system performance and robustness.
Develop comprehensive software verification plans for complex state machines.

Additional Requirements

Work location : Shanghai, China.
Will travel in China according to the client's needs.

Educational Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Aerospace Engineering, Control Systems, or a related technical discipline.

Experience Requirements

8+ years of experience in GNC, Control Law development, and modeling/simulation for complex aerospace systems.
