In this pivotal role, you will leverage your deep expertise in Flight Control System (FCS) integrity and process assurance to provide high-level consulting and leadership. You'll be instrumental in guiding clients through the crucial stages of system safety analysis (including PSSA, FMEA, and CMA) and configuration management, ensuring strict adherence to airworthiness compliance for the entire flight control system.

As a Lead Flight Control Systems Safety & Certification Engineer, you will define and audit development baselines, serve as the subject matter expert for key airworthiness issues (e.g., Command Signal Integrity), and shape strategies for overall system safety and process rigor within the dynamic aviation domain. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions that drive innovation and excellence.

Specific Skills
  • Expert-level proficiency in Flight Control System Safety Analysis methodologies, including AFHA, PASA, SFHA traceability, PSSA, FMEA, and Common Mode Analysis (CMA).
  • Mastery of Configuration Management practices: establishing development, design, and verification baselines; practicing Configuration Functional and Physical Reviews; and managing controlled libraries.
  • Expertise in defining and executing Process Assurance methodologies, including checklists, intervention timing, and sampling ratios across all development phases (aircraft, system, equipment, S/W, H/W).
  • Proven ability to design and verify compliance methods for key airworthiness issues such as Command Signal Integrity, transients, control surface position sensing, and potential common mode failures.
  • Experience in an engineering leadership role and providing training/mentoring to junior staff.
Responsible For
  • Lead the definition, management, communication, and verification of all Safety Requirements at the aircraft, system, equipment, and S/W/H/W levels.
  • Establish, manage, and audit the full lifecycle Configuration Management plan for the Flight Control System.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and implementation guides for System Safety Analysis and Process Assurance practices.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority for airworthiness compliance related to system integrity, independence, and process rigor.
  • Drive analyses to optimize system architecture for safety and compliance.

  • Will travel in China according to the client's needs.
